Woz WINS Dancing With the Stars!

He nailed it folks... and by nailed it, I mean it was more uncomfortable than having to repeatedly hit your childhood pet over the head with a shovel.
As expected, the lead in video featured Woz flying in on a Segway scooter. His young female partner looked as though she crapped her pants when she saw what she had to work with.
Despite the look of terror in her eyes, the two worked it out. Woz explained how dancing was like analog and she responded by saying, "Huh". He then took a few minutes to visualize the dance, while she called her agent and fired him.
I for one think he's a shoe in for the final two. He's lovable, was referred to by his partner as "the nicest man she's ever met," and deserves some kind of karma payback for dating Kathy Griffin. Steve Wozniak gets my vote for greatest contestant ever and despite hating Dancing With the Stars, I will continue to watch as long as he is on. So nerds, get your phones ready or figure out a way to hack the crap out of the voting system

Charlie Rose Digs Technology?

Charlie rose loves tech, despite getting this black eye from his MacBook Air
In the last few weeks, Charlie Rose has had Marc Andreeson, Evan Williams, some Google Exec lady and Eric Schmidt on the show. Is Charlie Rose really that into technology, or does he possibly get that these are the types of people that will lead the US out of its funk?
Either way, it's great that tech is getting a little more mainstream notoriety with the press. While GM flounders, Twitter continues to get funding. While the banks receive more bailouts, the Facebook community grows by something like 500,000 user per day.
To make things even better, Jimmy Fallon has jumped out of the gates with his new show and already announced that he wants to make it more nerd friendly by having tech people on the show, Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht are slated to appear March 11, 2009 .
Charlie Rose, I salute you and Jimmy Fallon, I'm looking forward to watching you push tech (as long as you don't have Ashton Kutcher on)
So I'm enjoying this trend for now and can't wait until the boys at GeekNasty get a call to appear on some shows.
